Yeah! I have spent the last 8 months practicing my online communications strategies, and it’s cold and wet outside so I have no distractions. Last time I did this we discussed how bananas are like space*, what my favourite pen is**, and weird non-sequitur stories about cave trolls**MATOMO_URL Plus some actual questions about science and being a scientist, of course. Can’t wait to see what questions you have!
* They aren’t really but if you ask nicely I can make up a reason
** They meant “pet”
*** I think the moderators were a bit annoyed about this but I enjoyed it

I’m as ready as I can be! I hopefully will improve over the course of the month as I am very new to communicating my work to school level students. Can’t wait to hear their questions and engage with the scientists of the future. Really excited to get started and hope there is a lot of enthusiasm for nuclear materials! (When isn’t there…?! )

I hope so! This will be my first time participating so admittedly I am a bit nervous, but also very excited to talk about proton beams and radiation therapy!
