Hi JessicaN!
In order I know hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen…. then I give up haha. I can name some others but I don’t know where they are in the periodic table! 🙂
Ahh not much! I know up to about aluminium. There’s a reason why I always keep a periodic table above my desk! The good thing about being a scientist once you’re no longer having to memorise things for exams is that you always have the option to look things up.
Less and less than I used to. I know the elements I need and use and some others. Like anything if you don’t always use it, you’ll forget. If you can look it up easily and don’t often use it – you’ll forget.
.
I can remember the part numbers of parts that have been obsolete for 30 years, commands for old operating systems (DOS, CP/CMS and CP/M), and lyrics to songs – not really useful stuff.
