I work on two topics in physics. The first one is the force of gravity, and my research is about understanding the ways in which Einstein’s theory can be modified to explain why the universe expands in the way we observe. The second topic is the origin of the universe, and the goal of my work is to understand some possible new imprints left by the Big Bang in the universe we see today.

My Typical Day:
In the morning is when the hard work happens: I do calculations and write notes on my results. In the afternoon is when the fun happens: discuss new ideas, read about new research, and spend some time thinking

I start my day with a cup of coffee in my office while I check the new research papers of the day. I usually spend the morning, when my head is fresh, doing calculations or writing notes on my recent results. I leave the afternoon for discussing new ideas with colleagues, and to do some reading and writing and thinking.
